COMPLEMENTARY STUDIES
MF Tècnima undertakes a series of studies outside of the technical projects and which serve, in the majority of cases, as a base or reinforcement of them. In other cases these studies are carried out independently. The most important are:
Pilot plant
MF Tècnima has several waste water treatment pilot plants. The aim of these plants is to carry out studies in real working conditions and which are used to assess the technical feasibility of a purification system. The results and data obtained will be used to size up the plant at real scale, which achieves an optimisation of both resources and costs.
The pilot plants available are:
- Physical-chemical treatment.
- Conventional biological treatment (active sludge) with denitrification.
- Biological treatment with membranes (MBR) with denitrification.
- Sequential biological treatment (SBR).
- Evaporation in the atmosphere.
- Treatment of atmospheric emissions.
Reduction of water consumption.
Once our clients consider the construction of a purification system, the first step is to make a diagnosis about the water consumption.
The experience acquired over time means that the MF Tècnima experts, as well as knowing the purification processes, also know very well the industrial processes that produce waste water. They have the technical capability to determine whether the industrial processes are using more water than they should and the appropriate measures are taken to optimise this resource.
In this way companies manage to reduce their costs, while optimising the size of the purification plant.
Reduction and minimisation of pollution in origin
Just like the reduction of water consumption, a prior task that is very important to carry out before the construction of a treatment plant is the assessment our clients receive from MF Tècnima to try and reduce to the utmost the operations, processes and/or products that cause pollution.
A double saving is made in this way, in both the industrial process and in the treatment plant, on not having to purify substances that were previously dumped.
As well as a saving in the daily running, it represents an optimisation in the initial plan of the purification plant.
The way of proceeding comprises the undertaking of a joint audit between the MF Tècnima engineers and those of the company, in which an analysis is made of all the potential pollution-causing actions, making tests and modifications until achieving the optimisation of the processes.
Evaluation of waste and sub-products
In current times, one of the greatest costs for companies is waste management by the authorised operators.
MF Tècnima is carrying out actions that aim to evaluate this waste and turn it into sub-products, so that other companies can use them.
A double benefit is thus obtained, both for the producer and the receiver, with one managing its waste/sub-product and the other acquiring it for a much cheaper price.
Geotechnical and hydrogeological studies
MF Tècnima offers these necessary services to be able to undertake, initially, all the civil engineering works necessary for the construction of waste water treatment plants.
Secondly, the competent authority, in this case the Hydrographical Confederations, usually requests the realisation of hydrogeological studies to determine the impact of waste on the average receiver in public waste outlets.
Specialist reports
MF Tècnima provides services of official specialist reports of machinery and installations.
